A push zone is storage you fill. You upload over FTP or the REST API; the network distributes the object. A visitor miss cannot resurrect a file you deleted from the zone.

When to use a push zone

  • Software downloads, ISOs, theme packages (TemplateMonster pattern).
  • Large libraries origin should not serve even once.
  • Releases you want to stage before a launch.

How files get to the edge

  1. Create the push zone in the control panel.
  2. Upload via FTP credentials for that zone or the files API.
  3. Link https://cdn.example.com/releases/app-1.2.iso.
  4. Optional: signed URLs so the ISO cannot be hotlinked.
